Parent Connection

We are a Parent volunteer group that organizes various fundraisers to help raise money in order to enhance facilities and opportunities for the staff and students of our school.

 

Over the years, the group has been able to purchase a new playground structure, remodel the kitchen, buy a new fridge & stove, purchase new furniture and shelving units for the library as well as having the library painted, contributed to the purchase of a new gym scoreboard, purchased Reading Rocks bags, plus many other things.

 

During this school year, the Parent Connection volunteers organized the annual Halloween Dance which took place in October. Pumpkins were purchased for all the classrooms to decorate. Students put their name in for the pumpkins and they were drawn at the end of the dance. Glow sticks were sold as well there was a candy jar guess contest. Popcorn, chips & juice boxes were sold for snacks. Food bank donations were accepted at the door as well as monetary donations to the school nutrition program.

 

The Book Fair was put on in the school library for three days in November. Classes signed up to visit and make purchases during the day and it was also open into the evening for parents to shop.

 

Pizza lunches were set up for Tuesdays and will be offered for the remainder of the school year.
